Mel grew up in Powell River, BC, where her love of hair began early. She went on to build an extraordinary career based out of Vancouver — trained with Aveda's holistic philosophy, she considers the whole person — your personality, your lifestyle, and the way you want to feel — before a single pin goes in.

Her career took her to the biggest stages in the world. As a Lead Stylist at New York Fashion Week, she worked at the highest levels of the industry, developing speed, precision, and the ability to create stunning looks under real pressure. Her TV and film work — including a feature on Etalk as a wedding hair specialist — made her a trusted name for brides who want the very best. Her work has been published in editorial features, and her skills have been recognized across Canada.

Along the way, Mel has had the privilege of working with some of the most beloved brands in the country — including Aritzia, Lululemon, Native Shoes, and more — bringing the same artistry and attention to detail to every project, big or small.

Then life took a beautiful turn. Mel fell in love, moved to Campbell River, and made the most important decision of her life — to focus on her family and raise her children. After years of being fully present as a mom, she's ready to step back into the world she loves.

Now based in Campbell River and available throughout Vancouver Island and Quadra Island, Mel brings 25 years of world-class experience to every bridal appointment — with a renewed passion and a deep appreciation for the moments that truly matter.
